This is a final call for applications for two PhD studentships in the history of science, technology and medicine at Kings College London. Students will be attached to the history department and begin their studies in the 2013-14 academic year. The deadline for applications is 31 May. 1) AHRC award. This covers standard tuition fees and a maintenance grant of £15,726 per year for three years. EU candidates are normally eligible for a fees-only award, unless they have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3 years immediately preceding the date of the award. 2) Hans Rausing award This is open to home, EU and overseas students for study in the history of science and technology. Proposals in the history of medicine are not eligible for consideration. It covers tuition fees and a maintenance grant in line with that paid by the AHRC. All applicants should have a strong academic track record, and hold or be studying for an MSc or MA degree in the history of science, medicine and/or technology, or in another relevant area of history. We offer supervision across the full range of science, technology and medicine, from the early modern period to the recent past. Staff include members of the Centre for History of Science, Technology and Medicine at Imperial College London, who move to Kings College London on 1 August 2013.
