Dear Mersenne, The second in the 2013 series of AHS London Lectures will be held at the Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, London, on Thursday 16 May. Dr Matthew Shaw will speak about ‘Decimal clocks and ten-day weeks: the French Republican Calendar’. AHS lectures this year are free, and include both a tea reception beforehand and a drinks party afterwards in the sumptuous surroundings of the RAS Library.
