medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear medieval-religion colleagues,

I came across this today, and wonder if you know of anything similar.

According to the Medici Archives project, mention is made of 'a relic of Pope Clement VII' [d.1537] that will help an unmarried woman find a spouse:

The wording seems unclear to me as to whether this refers to a relic that had been in the possession of Clement, or if indeed it is a relic from or pertaining to his remains. I should think that the latter is not likely, but are you aware of relics that were used to help find a spouse?

Best wishes, George
