The Department of Film and Television Studies at the University of Warwick is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor
(£37,382 - £44,607 pa)

The post holder will carry out undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activities and administrative duties for the Department. They will contribute to its reputation as a world leading centre for research and teaching in Film and Television Studies.

Candidates must have an honours degree and a PhD, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and experience of undergraduate teaching. They must also have a clear research agenda and an emerging record for producing world class publications. We especially welcome candidates with specialisms in contemporary and/or classical Hollywood Cinema, with interests in textual analysis, historiography, and/or genre.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
