Having a native Mandarin language speaker in your school is a fantastic way to bring the language and culture of China alive in your classrooms and across your wider community; they will make a huge impact on standards as well as encouraging all of your students to increasingly think and act as a global citizen. Mandarin is the most widely spoken language in the world and the British Council can support you and the school all the way with visa, induction and pastoral support. Your Chinese Language Assistant can also help you to set up international links and support the students in their language attainment and confidence in Mandarin.
