International Scholarships for Autumn 2013
Each year, we offer a limited number of scholarships worth up to RMB 6,000 to outstanding international applicants. Students can apply for a scholarship after receiving an offer letter and the awards will be announced in August.
SBC Family Discount
A family discount of up to RMB 6,000 on tuition may be awarded on a case-by-case basis to families who have more than one member studying at SBC.
SBC Friend Discount
A friend discount of up to RMB 6,000 on tuition may be awarded on a case-by-case basis to friends of current SBC students from the same town or village.

SBC and USST Co-host 2013 Music and Cultural Festival

On April 11th, students from SBC and USST co-hosted the 2013 Music and Cultural Festival at USST International Culture Park, an event which attracted hundreds of participants.
Cooperating with a total of five culture centres, the British Centre, German Centre, Nordic European Centre, American Centre and Japanese Centre, two groups of students from the Division of Events Management (EVM) of SBC organised and operated the event with student volunteers from USST.

SBC Teenage Dream Chorus Concert 2013 - Wake Up took place in front of the SBC Library Building at 7pm on 15th May. The Principal, Professor Ian Gow OBE, sang "More than I can say" by Leo Sayer in support of the concert. All SBC students and staff enjoyed this impressive performance.
Alumni Event - 2013 SBC Career Service Salon

On 28th March, the 2013 SBC Career Service Salon was jointly held by the SBC Career Service Development Centre and Year 4 students majoring in Events Management. The half-day event was comprised of career seminars and an evening gathering, which attracted around 130 participants in total including guests from our corporate partners, prominent alumni and current students at SBC.

16th China Education Fair 2013, Indonesia
The Indonesian market continues to grow for our British university campus in Shanghai, and students and parents are now becoming familiar with the SBC brand.

Dr. Chris Bayley participated in the 16th China Education Fair in Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya between 4th and 12th May, and hosted SBC Entrance Exams in Jakarta on 4th and 5th May. We are happy to announce that all those students who took the SBC Entrance Exams passed, and we look forward to seeing them at SBC this September.

Dr. Chris Bayley visited SEKOLAH GLOBAL INDO-ASIA in Batam, Indonesia on 14th May and gave a presentation to a group of high school students who will graduate in 2014. They were very interested in applying to SBC.

Two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise Go to University of Huddersfield
The 2013 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise were announced on the Queen’s birthday on 21st April. The University of Huddersfield, one of SBC's core partner universities in the UK, won the award for the category of International Trade. Professor Liz Towns-Andrews, Director of Research and Enterprise of University of Huddersfield, won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion.
