Information Services Manager, The Royal College of Surgeons of England Library Band D - £30-31,000 pa (full-time) We are looking to appoint a versatile, creative, enthusiastic person who will manage, contribute to and further develop the provision of high quality, audience focused information services. This post is pivotal to our service, with the post holder taking a leading role in a range of key 'user services' activities such as enquiry work and reading room management, document delivery, literature searching and current awareness. User engagement and development are central priorities for the role, as we work to understand and meet the information needs of our internal and external audiences and develop our services to meet these needs. And as part of the LSIS management team you will contribute to the overall planning, delivery and evaluation of the department's practice and policies. The successful candidate will have a first degree or postgraduate qualification in Librarianship/Information Studies or recognised equivalent, with proven experience of delivering customer focused services and the skills and knowledge to do so in the College's environment. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be confident in taking responsibility for people and in working and engaging directly with a wide range of colleagues, library users and stakeholders at a variety of levels. You will be able to think and work both at operational and strategic levels, ready to offer new ideas, act innovatively and deal positively with change.
