Supporting Evolving Research Needs ALISS One Day Summer Conference 30th July 2013 10.30-4.30 (first speaker 11.00) Senate House, London .http://www.senatehouseevents.co.uk/conferences <http://www.senatehouseevents.co.uk/conferences> On 30th July ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences) will be holding a one day conference on the issue of how subject/ academic liaison librarians can support evolving research needs. This topic has been highlighted in recent major research reports such as the recent RLUK Re-skilling for research http://www.rluk.ac.uk/content/re-skilling-research <http://www.rluk.ac.uk/content/re-skilling-research> and the day will focus upon a number of key areas in which skills could be proactively developed. These include; research data management, datasets support, open access advocacy, information literacy and literature searching. The speakers will highlight areas of good practice offer practical insight from their own experiences.
