***apologies for cross-posting*** "Increasing the full-text deposits in your institutional repository" Charing Cross Hotel, London, June 12th, 2013 This one day event is aimed at those working in research repositories and higher education libraries but may be of interest to a wider audience including researchers. The event will focus on three main topics: (a) implementation of self-archiving in institutional repositories, (b) deposit tools, and (c) depositing workflow. During the first half of the event there will be presentations of the JISC-funded projects related to depositing full-text content in institutional repositories, while during the second half, repositories' managers will discuss about their experience using these tools and recommend practices. The purpose of this event is to raise the issue of depositing in HEIs repositories and research centres, and work towards the creation of a cultural shift, where self-archiving would be part of the researchers' everyday agenda. The final programme will be published soon but confirmed speakers include: Les Carr - keynote speaker: Value of having full-text deposits and what this means Balviar Notay: The JISC-funded projects on deposits Muriel Mewissen: Repository Junction Broker Steve Hitchcock: DepositMOre Bo Middleton: RePOSIT Registration is now open http://rsp.ac.uk/events/increasing-the-full-text-deposits-in-your-institutional-repository/ Best, Nancy ------------------ Nancy Pontika, PhD Open Access Adviser Repositories Support Project http://www.rsp.ac.uk/ Centre for Research Communications http://crc.nottingham.ac.uk/ University of Nottingham A31 Greenfield Medical Library Queens Medical Centre Nottingham NG7 2UH T: +44 (0)115 8467544 F: +44 (0)115 8467577 This message and any attachment are intended solely for the addressee and may contain confidential information.
