CALL FOR PAPERS

 

SIRE Conference on "Finance and Commodities"

to be held at Parliament Hall, University of St Andrews, Scotland, on 13th and 14th July 2013

The aim of this conference is to bring together leading experts in the field of Finance, with reference in particular to the economic and financial modelling of commodities and natural resources.  Particular emphasis will be given to real option models, the microstructure of commodity and related markets, the sustainability of natural resources, and the econometric analysis and mathematical modelling of commodities and their derivatives.

In addition to the plenary talks there will be contributed talks and two poster sessions.  We invite submission of papers in the general area of the conference.  Preference will be given to papers that are well developed yet can still benefit from group discussion.  Submission from early-career researchers is encouraged.  The deadline for submissions is 31st May 2013 and we will notify only those who are chosen as presenters.  Please specify whether you wish your paper to be considered as a contributed talk, for a poster session, or for both.

The conference is financially supported by the Scottish Instititute for Research in Economics (http://www.sire.ac.uk/), the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow (http://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/business/) and the School of Economics and Finance, University of St Andrews (http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~wwwecon/).  The conference fee is 220 GBP and includes two nights of en-suite accommodation in Agnes Blackadder Hall, St Andrews, and the conference dinner.  (Registration details to be announced.)
