Dear All,

This is but a reminder that the EATAW elections for the new board (2013-2015) are less than two months away and that your statement to stand for the board would be much appreciated. As you may have noticed on the programme for EATAW 2013, the elections for the new board will take place during the conference and the first meeting of the new board will take place immediately after the close of the conference. Once we have received all the statements from candidates wishing to stand for election, the current conference site will be updated with information about the election process and brief presentations of the candidates. This is your opportunity to take a more active role in the association. Here is the current board: http://www.eataw.eu/eataw-board.html

Who can stand?

Members of EATAW present at the conference who have been associated with the organisation for at least two years, and have presented at at least one previous conference, may stand for election to the Board.

How and when?

If you wish to stand for election, please submit an application stating your interest and experience in the teaching of academic writing, your association with EATAW and your reasons for standing (maximum 200 words) by midnight (GMT), Saturday 1st June 2013, at the latest. Please include also a photo of yourself with your statement. Applications should be sent simultaneously to the two EATAW Co-Chairs ([log in to unmask]  [log in to unmask]). If you would like to stand for the Board but cannot get your statement in by June 1, please let us know.

Information about candidates standing, including photos, will be posted on the conference website by June 7. Candidates will also be identified via their badges during the conference. There will also be an opportunity for candidates to present themselves briefly to the membership at the conference opening session.

The deadline for submission of applications to stand for election is midnight (GMT), Saturday 1st June 2013.

We look forward to hearing from you,

Magnus / Íde
