BUTOH PERFORMANCE & WORKSHOPS IN LONDON (30th May-2nd June) Japanese butoh dancers Yuri and Seisaku will be performing and running workshops from 30th May to 2nd June @ Chisenhale Dance Space and London Buddhist Arts Centre. Butoh is a Japanese avant-garde performance technique founded in the late 1950s by Hijikata Tatsumi, and this is a rare opportunity to experience the movement with one of Hijikata's direct disciples Seisaku and his dance partner Yuri. The workshops are open to all ages and backgrounds and require no previous training. They will be conducted in English and Japanese (with English translation).
