I’m responsible for a complete list of names on a new WW2 war memorial. Some of the individuals have been awarded medals and gongs which will be abbreviated. Is there a correct or incorrect way to do this – ie full stops or no full stops? MM or M.M. MiD or OBE have full stops or not – that sort of thing. Does it matter? I am looking at the style of the WW1 memorial too.
