Here is a reminder of the Scottish and Northumbrian Academic Statisticians Meeting, which will be held at Newcastle University on May 24th 2013. This year's speakers are Prof Els Goetghebeur (University of Ghent): Avoiding Errors: Causal Effect Estimates for the Evaluation of Quality of Care over Many Centres, Prof Jonathan Tawn (Lancaster University): Multivariate Extremes Value Methods for Univariate and Spatial Flood Risk Assessment, Prof Darren Wilkinson (Newcastle University): Stochastic Modelling of Genetic Interaction in Budding Yeast. The meeting is open to all. The deadline for registration is May 20th. The registration fee is £35, which includes morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. A reduced rate of £25 is available to students.
