Dear ALLSTAT,

 

CK Clinical is recruiting for a Senior Statistical Programmer to join a Global Pharmaceutical company on a permanent basis at their site based in the South East.

 

Some flexible home-based working is available after an initial period.

 

The Senior Statistical Programmer will provide statistical software and software documentation support to SPA in general and to specific clinical projects.

 

The Senior Statistical Programmers ensure that the objectives, standards, deadlines and other requirements set by SPA management with respect to statistical software and software documentation are attained.

 

The main functions required of the Senior Statistical Programmer are:

·To provide advice and support to members of biometrics whilst assessing, recommending and developing new standards and policies.

·Keep abreast of statistical programming methodology, applications and software developments through literature and attendance at meetings and maintain familiarity with regulatory authority guidelines relating to biostatistics, data reporting and medical issues in project areas.

 

Other duties of the Senior Statistical programmer will include:

·Developing and documenting statistical programming standards in accordance with current statistical programming practices and regulatory authority requirements.

·Programme, validate and document software in SAS following statistical programming standards and ensures its availability to users.

·Whenever creating new software, ensuring the efficient use of existing software.

·Ensure activities are performed within the project are executed in a timely manner and to the required high statistical and reporting standards and you will interact with other members of biometrics and with the study team to clarify and assess programming requirements.

·Assist in the development of trial analyses and data presentations relating to efficacy and safety data under the direction of a Project Programmer (or designee) and create the dataset specifications according to the applicable data model in cooperation with clinical programming.

·Maintain up-to-date project documentation including that of presentation, analysis and graphics software.

·Verify adherence to PDBP validation processes/SOPs within the project.

 

As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you should have the following minimum skills and requirements:

·Educated to degree level preferable in IT, Life Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other analytical field while possessing a very good knowledge/experience of international clinical research and drug development.

·Confident in the use of Computers

·Can readily learn new software applications and be very experienced in the use of statistical software as well as knowledge of databases and interface systems.

·Have a very good knowledge of SAS.

·Communicate clearly and effectively in written reports, data presentations and meetings as required. (Fluency in English is a prerequisite) 

·Be able to easily establish and maintain good working relationships and takes cultural and value differences into account in dealings with others.
