Dear Colleagues, You are warmly invited to *Rock Jam & being IN [landscape] seminar 2: A shared exploration of a Cornish quarry, Friday 26 April 10.00-18.30 in Stuido A, Performance Centre, Falmouth University and Bosahan Quarry.* This is the next manifestation of Falmouth University’s Performance Centre and Articulating Space Research Group’s Landscape Sandpit, which aims to explore ways of articulating and making sense of changing landscapes and environments through located arts practice and research. This event will take place alongside Cornwall Autonomous Zone’s (CAZ) second being IN [landscape] seminar, which aims to explore and discuss the key shift in contemporary practice from depicting landscape to communicating the experience of being in the landscape. Both events will focus on Bosahan Quarry as the site of investigation and will explore the ways we view, experience, story and transform landscape histories and futures through performances, presentations and active research. This event is organised between the Performance Centre, Articulating Space Research Group (Falmouth University) and Cornwall Autonomous Zone (CAZ) and will be hosted by Falmouth University and Bosahan Quarry. This event is part of a larger conversation exploring quarry landscapes between a consortium of non-academics and researchers across the arts, humanities and sciences at Falmouth University and University of Exeter.
