Starlink Software Collection - "Hikianalia (Spica)" Release
-----------------------------------------------------------

A new release of the Starlink Software Collection is now available.

Hikianalia can be downloaded here:
   http://starlink.jach.hawaii.edu/starlink/HikianaliaDownload

Builds are available for 32-bit and 64-bit Linux, and 64-bit Mac OSX
Snow Leopard and Lion.

Among the major changes in Hikianalia is support for 64-bit integer
data, significant improvements to the SCUBA-2 mapmaker, many new PICARD
recipes for SCUBA-2 analysis, new facilities in POLPACK for the POL-2
instrument, and extended filtering of non-linear and noisy ACSIS/HARP
spectra.

For additional information about the changes and improvements, since the
Kapuahi release, please refer to the following URL.

The Joint Astronomy Centre currently runs 32- and 64-bit Linux
operationally. However, 32-bit is being phased out and the next 64-bit
Linux release will built on CentOS 6 rather than CentOS 5 as now.
Other platforms are supported on a best-efforts basis.
