PhD Funding for Social Policy research at LSE

LSE is offering prestigious LSE PhD Studentships and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Studentships in Social Policy.

LSE PhD Studentships are open to students from the UK, EU and overseas and cover fees plus living expenses of £18,000 each year for four years and are for direct MPhil/PhD entry.  

Eligibility for ESRC studentships is limited to UK and EU students only.  Awards comprise tuition fees plus living expenses of £15,726 each year for three years for MPhil/PhD entry.  It is also possible to receive an additional preliminary year’s funding to take a Research Master’s programme.

Applications are sought in the following topic areas:  poverty and disadvantage; families, children and schools; development; health and social care; and criminology.
