Ladies and Gentlemen,

As IEEE Education Society Vice President for
Conferences, I am pleased to remind you that the Society has a premier
engineering and computer science education conference held each year in IEEE
Region 10 (Asia and Oceania). Three weeks remain for you to prepare and submit
your paper.

The IEEE International Conference on Teaching, Assessment,
and Learning in Engineering (TALE) is designed to complement the Society's other
very popular Frontiers in Education (FIE, IEEE Regions 1-7) and EDUCON (IEEE
Region 8) conferences. Now, regardless of your location in the world, a premier
IEEE Education Society conference is at your doorstep. This year, the conference
is offering a special session on Computing Education sponsored by the IEEE
Computer Society. Information on this special session can be found at the
conference website. I encourage you to read the call-for-papers and consider
submitting your research or practice paper for peer review. I've also attached a
PDF flyer from the website for your use in dissemination to colleagues or other
email lists.

Theme:
Science &  Engineering  Education for Humanity

The IEEE
International Conference on Teaching, Assessment, and Learning for Engineering
(TALE) is held each year in the Asia-Pacific region (IEEE Region 10). It is
intended to complement existing conferences sponsored by the IEEE Education
Society, most notably Frontiers in Education in North America (IEEE Regions 1-7)
and EDUCON in Europe/Middle East/Africa (IEEE Region 8).

The aim of TALE
2013 is to provide a forum for academicians and professionals from various
educational fields and with cross-disciplinary interests to network, share
knowledge and engage in dialogue around the theme of fostering innovation and
excellence in engineering education. To this end, both research and
practice-oriented papers are invited that encompass all aspects of education in
the engineering fields (including computing, computer science, information
technology and cognate disciplines). The conference will feature traditional
paper presentations, workshops, as well as keynotes by renowned educational
experts and authorities.

from which submission guidelines and a template for papers are available. A
blind peer-review process will be used to evaluate all submitted papers. All
accepted and registered papers that are presented at the conference will be
published in the conference proceedings (CD-ROM/USB) and uploaded to the IEEE
Xplore database, which is indexed by Scopus., provided they meet the required
IEEE PDF paper standard. The proceedings will also be submitted for possible
