I apologise for resending the message below. I have the feeling I sent it at a bad time for many on the list. If any of you do have the inclination to make suggestions, I, and my RCA students, would be more than grateful. To those of you who have already responded: many thanks! Ranulph Dear List Members Many of you have been kind enough to help me building a list of useful references and papers for the 3 year rolling research seminar we are initiating in Innovation Design Engineering at the RCA. The suggestions sent so far have been very helpful, and of course lead to a much wider range that I would think of by myself. At the end of this year I will post the material we have used in the first year's seminars. (We will be moving through new topics next year and the year after.) We have 2 more seminars this year. I would appreciate your suggestions for papers for the following (double) theme, which will surely be one that faces many if not most List Members: The research question; does it matter, and is it helpful, why..... Experience and explanation: should we talk/write from within or from without Again, I'd ask for short pieces, and not more than 1 or 2 suggestions per respondent. I'd also ask you to send me the piece with full bibliographical information, and a url where it can be found. Since the seminar is on 29 April, I'd appreciate quick responses by Friday 19 April, In my view, this sort of helping each other as colleagues is something that should be at the heart of what happens on this list, and I (and the students) really appreciate your help.
