Marshall McLuhan was an extrordinary foresighter who foreshadowed PCs, Internet, Web, eBooks, Google, Wikipedia, Twitter, crowd sourcing, DIY culture, the closing of the gap between consumers and producers in addition to coining such zingers as The Global Village and "the medium is the message".
