She has made particular contributions in the field of social inequalities in health and is a proponent of using robust methods to evaluate the impact of social interventions on health. Her contribution to science was recently recognised by being one of 12 women to be given a Suffrage Science award. This one day meeting aims to celebrate Sally’s contribution to research and policy by asking key experts, who have also been close colleagues of Sally’s, to reflect on: changes in debates around health inequalities over the last 30 years; the role Sally has played in these; and the challenges that are a priority for the coming decade.
