Tammy's alter-ego, is Professor of Contemporary Performance Practice, Queen Mary, University of London and an independent performance artist and activist. She was co-founder ofSpiderwoman
Theatre, Split Britches Companyand theWOW Theatrein
New York and Artistic Director ofGay Sweatshop Theatrein London. She was Director ofPSi12:
Performing Rightsin 2006 and is currently Artistic Director forAir Project. Her
practice-based research uses performance to initiate conversations on human rights in wide-ranging projects.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
