Ofcom research event: new findings on UK adults’ media use and attitudes

You are invited to our research event on UK adults’ media use and attitudes, which takes place on Thursday 16 May 2013 from 3 – 5.45 pm, at Ofcom’s offices in Riverside House, London SE1 9HA. Networking drinks will be available after the event.

Dame Lynne Brindley, Ofcom Board member, will provide a keynote introduction.

Our new Adults Media Use and Attitudes Report, showing how UK adults use and understand the internet, TV, radio, and mobile phones,  is due for publication on 23 April.

The event will highlight key findings from the report, including:


-          Older users are driving continued use of social networking

-          Smartphone growth continues alongside increasing mobile phone affinity

-          Password security remains a challenge for many

-          There is an increased belief that internet content is regulated

-          Measuring critical understanding and digital literacy

The event will also include research presentations from industry and academic stakeholders.
