Research Institute for Arts and Humanities Swansea University Graduate Centre for Arts and Humanities The AHRC-Funded Heritage Skills Programme Presents: 'The Heritage Apprentice' Open to postgraduate students nationally, this world-leading and unique programme offers a fully-funded opportunity to compete in a team event modelled on the BBC TV series 'The Apprentice'. Students will tackle specific challenges associated with Cu@Swansea, an exciting, heritage-led regeneration project focused on the site of the former Hafod-Morfa Copperworks in the Lower Swansea Valley. This multi-partner project is led by Professor Huw Bowen of the Department of History and Classics at Swansea University. Teams will be assigned tasks by a panel of experts drawn from the worlds of academia, heritage, business, and tourism; and the winning team will be 'hired' to undertake a two-week work placement with Professor Bowen. The programme offers opportunities to bolster employability credentials and gain the transferable skills and experience currently in demand in the heritage and tourism sectors.
