Dear All,
I haven't had much response for this query - a couple of mentions for ebsco a-z for the journals list.
Does anyone have anything else to add?
Regards,
Cheryl.

Dear All,
Has anyone
thought or actually gone through with a non-HDAS/My Journals information solution?
We are
experiencing regular problems with HDAS / My Journals. Our literature searchers
are switching away from HDAS and our trainers are finding it increasingly
difficult to get through training sessions. It is becoming more difficult to
try to promote resources that fail to work or are so complicated to work.
This may all be temporary blips (we hope) but it is certainly very frustrating at the moment.
Has anyone
gone with a non-HDAS / My Journals solution? Would you mind sharing your
experience?
- What solutions have you chosen?
- Are they reliable and easy to use?
- How do they compare with HDAS / My Journals in
terms of functionality and features (search interface, thesaurus, alerts,
saving results etc)
- Have you been able to include the same coverage
of resources? Both Core Content and your own subscriptions, also promote print
subscriptions
- Have inexperienced / infrequent users been able
to use them successfully?
- Was Athens authentication simple or not?
- Is the solution easy to manage? Ie to set up,
usage stats, keep up-to-date
- What sort of costs were involved?
We would be
really interested in what people have to say.
Regards,
Cheryl.
