Out of interest, how are these planners generally promoted to students? The challenge, I feel, is not really in getting students to take a planner, but to use it in a way which is meaningful to them. Any ideas and suggestions from members of the group would be much appreciated.

Subject: LearnHigher Year Planners - ordering for 2013-14

Dear All,

Remember the flexible, folding LearnHigher year planners? Many of you have ordered them for your institutions in the past or expressed interest in the innovative design. The time has come round again for ordering them for the academic year 2013-14. They are a really good tool for promoting your service; unlike many flimsy year planners or diaries that students tend to throw away after Freshers week, the year planners are durable, look good and are very usable. We have had them here at Reading for the past 4 years and students come back again and again each year to pick up their free planner from our office.

So, just a quick reminder that if you are interested in purchasing the LearnHigher folding year planners for 2013-14, the deadline for orders is Tuesday 30th April.

These flexible, folding planners have been researched and designed to suit students' needs by the LearnHigher CETL in partnership with design company Chalet Alpin. They have been very well received by students and academics, and they are a great help to students who prefer to plan their time in a more active and visual way than allowed by an ordinary diary or wall planner.

For more information, please see the LearnHigher webpage: http://learnhigher.ac.uk/home/year_planner.html

Please find attached all the ordering details: Order Form, Prices, and Schedule. There is the option of having a customised planner with your university logo, contact details and local information, or for smaller orders of about 500 planners, there is the option of having a Generic LearnHigher planner. All the prices and options are explained in the attached documents.

If you would like to order planners, please send the order forms back to [log in to unmask] before the 30th of April 2013.

Best wishes,

Michelle
