Tullow Oil require a Geographical Information Systems Specialist in Chiswick London on a permanent basis.

To provide GIS development, analysis and cartography support and to assist the Group GIS Manager in rolling-out the Global GIS strategy across Tullow.
	Design and develop user friendly Internet Mapping (ArcGIS Server including the REST API), Desktop GIS applications, Mobile GIS (IOS devices) tailored to Tullow’s specific needs.
	Provide GIS analysis and cartography support to several disciplines including Exploration, EHS, Drilling and Engineering.
	Expand the application of GIS across Tullow by the working closely with users and potential users, capturing their workflows and translating their requirements into innovative GIS projects/solutions.
	Perform application development and data analysis including maintenance and enhancements of existing systems
	Assist the GIS Developer, GIS Data Administrator & GIS Analyst with with documentation, spatial data management, model building, analysis and other related tasks. 
	Assist the GIS team with ad-hoc duties as a required.
	Maintain a thorough understanding of technology developments in the GIS world, so that the Tullow systems can remain at the leading edge in terms of technology and usability.

Bachelor’s degree Computer Science (IT), Software Engineering, Geology, GIS or Geography. An MSc in GIS (or related) is essential.

	Thoroughly conversant with a broad range of GIS technologies.
	Programming, data analysis, and software development skills.
	Good knowledge of ArcGIS suite of products.
	Technical documentation skills.
	Knowledge and experience of some/all languages including VB.NET/C#, VBA, ArcObjects, SQL, Visual Basic, PYTHON, XML, HTML, ASP.Net and Javascript. 
	Some understanding of databases. 
	Web development experience. 
	Ability to evaluate and interpret end-user requirements.
	Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
	Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
	Ability to assess and interpret end user information requirements and to develop and implement appropriate technical solutions.
	Ability to multi-task and support various GIS users/clients in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment.
