Victoria University of Wellington offers a rare opportunity to develop new directions within a leading research group in Geophysics and Tectonics. We seek a mid-career scientist to appoint as Reader/Associate Professor in Earth Sciences in the broad area of Geophysics/Tectonics (this level is equivalent to Professor rank in the USA). We seek someone with expertise that complements our current strengths in Structure, Tectonics, Natural Hazards and Resources.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field and be an international leader in one or more fields of Tectonics/Geophysics, with demonstrated ability to obtain external funding and to work with students. He or she will contribute to our teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels in Tectonics/Geophysics courses offered in the science faculty.
