My children love the book by Michael Rosen called Snore about a dog that snores (surprisingly) and keeps a whole farmyard awake. Lots of potential for noise making and animal sounds!

Loving the dog theme this afternoon, way more fun than phenomenological sociology and philosophical hermeneutics.
Give me Hairy Maclairy, Schnitzel von Krum, Bottomley Potts et al any day of the week, and especially on a Friday.
Have to say though, Scarface Claw beats them all. Sorry, he's a cat.

Thanks GEM.

Well, if we are talking favourites I always had a soft spot for Kipper and I loved the illustration in the "Floss" books: she's a border collie who can't resist a football!

Hairy Mclary is definitely good for getting everyone chanting along though. Could make up a version crossing it with :"Going on a bear hunt". Top!

Best
