We would offer a separate room, subject to full agreement with the
student. They are always happy to be in a separate room anyway so they
don't feel the pressure of trying to keep quiet in an exam room with
others.

I need some advice on housing a candidate separately please.

We have an Autistic learner sitting GCSE Maths with us and the main
course tutor has asked he be on his own for the next exams in the summer
in case he talks quietly to himself. Should I sit him by himself just
in case?

There's not much JCQ guidance on this but I'm not sure how it fits in
with the Equality Act if we segregate him because of his disorder when
he doesn't need this for himself.

Thanks

Lynne
