This is how I have been operating for quite a number of years now…..

Only “statistical data” on download day – numbers/percentages for each grade for each subject – for Principal, Vice-Principal with responsibility for the curriculum, and for the Head of Sixth Form (as someone else has said, this helps inform the marketing response!)

Then detailed information to all on following day, with threats to some academic staff should they reveal them to students themselves, prior to the students opening their own results envelopes!

Thanks for the official regulations.  I am aware of these but do find them fairly vague.  It is my principle who has asked me to investigate what other centres do, her opinion is the same as mine and the moment (that Heads of subject, SLT etc do NOT get them, but I need to be able to back this with evidence!)

prior to the official dates and times for the release of results to candidates, keep results files and their contents entirely confidential to the head of centre, examinations office staff and those teaching staff who, in the opinion of the head of centre, need to be aware of the information;

Hello everyone,

I would be interested to know how many centres release results to staff on restricted results day (EDI download dayi.e., the day before main publication).

We are receiving an increase in the number of teachers wanting this – the usual ‘loads of colleges give their results out the day before’ type scenarios.

Can you confirm:

1.       Do you give your results to Heads of Subject on Download day?

2.       Are results given to other members of staff on download day i.e., curriculum directors?
