Mmmmm death penalty is a good idea or some other equally effective punishment...here we just do the opposite and promote them to Vice Principal for Curriculum instead!!!

We e-mail staff to say the results are available to them on our student records system, but that they are embargoed to 'third parties' until the Thursday.  Seems to work as our staff do support the Exams Office and CIS systems,, but I would press for the death penalty for any member of staff found breaking the embargo!  However, w are a sixth form college, so have a large GCE and GCSE provision.

Your teachers are more trustworthy than ours!!!

Last time we released results to a HOD they went and discussed them at a meeting the same day and the info got as far as the students!!!!!

If they want them asap on the Thursday then they have to come in early.  We've reduced our GCE provision over the years so we only have Science and Maths now which is around 40 students so it doesn't take long to check results!  Luckily for us they've increased FS provision across college so we now have FS exams to replace the Jan GCE exams!!

My centre take the same approach as Duncan's.

The Heads of Department in my college have this information in order to prepare for questions and coordinate responses for the students.

Hello everyone,

I would be interested to know how many centres release results to staff on restricted results day (EDI download dayi.e., the day before main publication).

We are receiving an increase in the number of teachers wanting this - the usual 'loads of colleges give their results out the day before' type scenarios.

Can you confirm:

1.       Do you give your results to Heads of Subject on Download day?

2.       Are results given to other members of staff on download day i.e., curriculum directors?

Your help would be much appreciated as ever.
