Hi Gemma,
Sorry I should have included
this in my last e-mail, I had to send a copy of my seat plan showing clearly
that they had attended the exam session.

Thanks
both. It’s Edexcel not C&G. It’s very odd as it’s just one
paper however all of our paperwork shows that the student definitely sat the
exam and that we sent the paper off so at least we’ve got that on our
side. Edexcel are now doing a “box check” to see if it’s ended up
somewhere it shouldn’t be!
Thanks
again J

Hi Gemma
We’ve had this on several
occasions with CG (never known it with other awarding bodies). Same as Meg on
the last occasion in that we got an honoured grade based on past papers and
plea from the faculty/me. It does take a lot of shouting, though. I find the
complaints team there more capable at handling things than centre support. I
struggle to find anything now on their website since they revamped it and took
a lot of documents/policies off so not sure what the formal procedure is from
CG’s end.
Best of luck.

Hi Gemma
We had this 2 years ago with City & Guilds. They reported
that some scripts were missing, and we were able to show parcelforce signatures
of delivery at the designated examiner for them through the tracking process
online. The scripts never turned up. City and Guilds eventually gave our
candidates marks based on practice papers we had – luckily the subject teacher
still had them and was able to confirm that they had been kept in secure
conditions. I have to say that City & Guilds did offer to do this; but
after we ‘shouted’ about the loss of the scripts in no uncertain terms.
Hope this helps? Regards

Subject: Lost Exam Paper
Does
anybody know what happens when a functional skill exam paper is lost by the
exam board? I’ve had a look on the awarding body’s website but they have no
info on there.
Thanks
