In theory a student can only attempt a unit twice. In practice they get around this by certificating and taking all of the units again, in which case they can have multiple attempts but not receive the best results of units taken first time around which are lost. This also works if they are entered under a different UCI between schools.

Hi all

I'm really no good at getting this and need your help as always. Please can you remind me how the above apply to GCSE Maths (we use AQA 4362 but that's not so important).

Looking at the cumulative report from e-AQA since this March results series, there are lots of learners who appear to have attempted units and received unit results for more than the allowed two attempts (school attempts that don't appear to have been aggregated). Is this right? If so, how do we know which attempts will count towards aggregation?

Thanks in advance
