Hello everyone,
The Cumberland Initiative is the real thing and has been in existence since
2010. It first started as a group of academics who were passionate about
simulation and modelling and has steadily grown with industry and NHS
support. The event in May that I advertised is really a kick-off event
primarily focused at clinicians, front-line staff and others within NHS
organisations. The aim is to introduce systems thinking, modelling and
simulation to those who have practical, real-life experience - to see how
modelling can have real-life applications.

I've cc'ed Terry Young, who is the lead on the Cumberland Initiative as
he's best placed to answer any skeptics and to answer any questions that
anyone might have.

If any of you are in the UK and would like to come to the launch event in
early May, do get in touch.

Best wishes,
Ginny
