Hi Angel,
If you haven't already looked at the Cochrane Handbook or Cochrane Collaboration, these are great places to start.

Subject: Re: PROSPERO: registry for systematic reviews

Dear All,

One of my junior asked for free online resource for "Systemic Review"

I would be grateful, if anyone could contribute by providing links, PDF or related contents to early stage researcher to understand about Systemic Review.

Thanks in advance.

I’m curious—for those of you working on, or who have worked on, systematics reviews—did you register your protocol at PROSPERO?

I have worked on quite a few (as the librarian searcher), but hadn’t suggested it in the past.  I started on a new one today and made the suggestion to the researcher that he might want to consider registering this.  The PRISMA (SR/MA reporting guidelines) statement  does include the option of including protocol registration information.  I know in the past this has been limited to Cochrane.

I personally would find it helpful if others working on SRs did make use of this registry.  I have used the clinical trials db for SRs to determine if there are PIs my author should contact.  The SR registry would be a great way to determine if an SR is underway but not complete.  (I always check for prior reviews in the published literature.)  If so, is there room for collaboration?

Thoughts?

Helena
