The delegation consists of 5
delegates from local government from Jiangsu Province in China. They would
be very grateful if you would be so kind as to deliver a brief presentation,
perhaps one or two hours in length about collection care and management in
the UK. The group would be particularly interested in learning about the
following;
1. The advanced technic for the long term
preservation of collections
2. The management of collections
(Mapping/Informing conservation treatment/Digitization)
3. The history and current situation of
archives preservation in the UK
The delegation would prefer to
hold a meeting with your organization at your office/classroom. We can
arrange for the travel of the delegation to the office and a professional
interpreter to be present at the meeting. If you are interested in meeting
with this delegation, I would be very grateful if you would be so kind as to
let me know as soon as you can so that I may inform the delegation of
your interest. In addition, the group will require a letter of meeting
confirmation from your organization, and should you agree to go ahead with this
meeting, I can send a draft letter for your convenience.
