Archives Assistant based at Shire Hall, Cambridge - Part-time (18.5
hours per week) contract until November 2013 with possibility of
extension thereafter

As Archives Assistant you will be working as part of a small but busy
team within Cambridgeshire Archives and Local Studies.  Your main role
would be to assist customers with their research, produce documents from
our strongrooms, use a range of historical records to answer research
enquiries and provide a friendly and efficient reception service
greeting customers, issuing readers' tickets and answering the phone.
You may also be called upon to assist with the listing, physical moving
and re-packaging of records as required and with talks, displays and
other outreach events promoting our service.
