Hi, I think that the attached seeds and capsule are from Orchidaceae but only have the photos in Cappers, Bekker and Jans 2006 and Beijerinck 1947 to go on.The shape and proportions of the seeds suggest Epipactis palustris but they are obviously distorted to certain extent. The capsule is very robust and corky possibly suggesting it is intrusive. They are from a Roman context in South London. Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
Kath
