The University of St Andrews is currently advertising for a Regius Professor in Mathematics (across all areas of Mathematical Sciences, including Statistics), as part of the University's 600th anniversary. This prestigious chair was established in 1668. The school currently has 33 permanent members of academic staff with a further 30 postdoctoral staff and 60 PhD students. The successful applicant will be internationally-leading in their chosen field and will actively contribute to the school of Mathematics and Statistics.
