The Higher Education Academy invites GTAs and new/early career lecturers to this free intensive one-day workshop on learning and teaching in English Literature.

The primary aim of this event is to offer Graduate Teaching Assistants, new and recently appointed academic staff an opportunity to reflect on and share their experiences of being a university teacher in their discipline and help them to address the main issues involved in providing high-quality learning and teaching experiences for students. These include:

  • seminar dynamics;
  • assessment;
  • digital teaching;
  • research and teaching;
  • nightmare scenarios/difficult conversations
