Job description :





Plymouth University has a vacancy for an Academic Developer to join the Educational Development team. You will contribute to the further development of a university with an enviable record in teaching and learning/ educational development. The university was successful in gaining funding for four Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning and has been successful in the award of 14 National Teaching Fellows.



You will report to the Head of Educational Development with Pedagogic Research and work with the Educational Development/ PedRIO team. You will support the full range of academic and professional development activities including teaching on the GTA and PGCAP programmes.



You will have a higher degree and preferably have undertaken an accredited course in teaching and learning in higher education. You will be an excellent teacher who is able to demonstrate flair, flexibility and self-confidence.  You will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team.



You will have demonstrable experience of teaching or supporting learning in higher education, as well as an understanding of the theory and practice of learning and teaching in higher education. Expertise in pedagogic research would be advantageous.



This is a full time position working 37 hours per week and is fixed term for 1 year. Part time hours or a job share will be considered.
