Julian Beinart who is named in Schon's 2nd footnote in Chapter 3 published a similar project at Yale and I know of one other I could probably locate.These may be the first examples of research that got deep into the interactive communication characteristic of design education and design processes. I was on the board of the study (the only one not from a Northeastern School) and believe I still have the reports (in the basement.) I will try to find them.
