Job title: Conservation Information Intern Salary: Voluntary internship Location: Heelis, Swindon Contract: Between three and six months Hours: Three to five days per week, flexible hours Reference: AY0040T About the role If you are keen to gain excellent work experience in a team of conservation data experts and to unlock stories from data, this internship will get you off to a great start. You’ll make sure that we digitalise the stories of our properties by converting our ‘Properties of the National Trust Handbook’ onto a web based version for the future generations to enjoy. Working within our database environment that is structured to accept future data feeds from other sources, with the ability to publish directly to the web. You’ll work with the Conservation Information Team to push this project forward. Being in at the start of it, you’ll be inputting data into the ‘how’ and ‘what’, create structured data from text and research sources to fill in the gaps. You’ll also be helping to produce published outputs as a pilot which will help to define and raise the profile of the project. About you You’ll be comfortable with office software, enjoy getting things complete and correct, and be good at searching and structuring information. Just as importantly you’ll be happy working in a team and if you already have database or information processing experience so much the better.
