I need information about what happens to people who are LGBT in Egypt.

I am currently supporting a young person who is gay and has claimed asylum in the UK.

She was a young child when she flew with some members of her family, therefore she has never faced any persecution in Egypt due to her homosexuality. Since living in the UK, she has realized that she is gay and she is very afraid that some members of her family in Egypt might force her to marry, FGM, or even killing her. Or any other persecution from strangers, etc.

Any information/research on how lesbians are treated in Egypt?

The UKBA does not dispute her sexuality but apparently, there is not enough evidence (academic, etc) to prove her fear of persecution if deported back to the Egypt.

Any information will be appreciated. This information (as we know) could support her asylum claim in the UK.
