The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine is accepting applications for the MSc Demography and Health
( http://www.lshtm.ac.uk/study/masters/msdh.html) , the only graduate course in demography in Europe with a specific emphasis on international health. It is designed for those interested in acquiring a technical understanding of this subject and also of the interaction of health and population determinants such as sexual relations, childbearing and life expectancy.

The course teaches research skills which are highly valued in the job market and are welcomed in many areas of population and health research and also in health evaluation, survey design and analysis and programme management.

Graduates have careers in non-governmental organisations, public health, AIDS, STIs, family planning or reproductive health programmes, epidemiological and health services research, collection and analysis of vital statistics data, national and sectoral policy and planning, and academic research and teaching.

Funding is also available for this course, and applications for 2013/14 ESRC/PIC Masters Studentship Scheme
