Hi Khizar,
One easy way is to do model diagnostics check by analyzing your residuals to determine the fit of the model.
You can achieve this graphically or quantitatively.
In the quantitative framework, you can observe the R-square value associated with the model. If you have more than one predictor variables, you need to use the adjusted R-square.
Unfortunately, a high R-square does not guaranteed that your model fits the data well so I normally use graphical residual analysis.
Hope this help.
Thanks

Kind regards.

Subject: linear regression model validation

Dear all Greetings,
I have developed a linear regression model but i am wondering how to validate it?
Profound Regards,
Khizar
