Two NIHR Salaried Internships in Medical Statistics

Applications are invited for two internships in medical statistics in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Leicester funded by the NIHR Research Methods Programme.

Starting 1st July 2013, the internships will provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidates to gain experience in medical statistics and research methodologies within a supportive and dynamic research and teaching environment. Specifically the internships will include:

*         8 week salaried position at the University of Leicester. Salary will be in the range £20,172-£24,049 per annum, pro rata, which equates to £3,103-£3,700 for the 8 week period.

*         Opportunity to contribute to an on-going research project.

*         Full support in learning new statistical techniques.


Applicants should be in the penultimate year (finishing 2nd year of 3 year course or 3rd year of a 4 year course) of an undergraduate degree in a relevant area (e.g. statistics, mathematics, economics).
