Position: Contract Exploratory Statistician
(Full time)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Competitive
Location: M4 Corridor
Role
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced study statistician with a global
pharmaceutical client. The client is a top 40 company with a specialism in central nervous system compounds and antibody research, amongst
others. The role is available due to the very large phase 1 pipeline and continuing research throughout it's therapeutic areas. The contract is initially available for 6 months with a high chance of extension due to the amount of work and continuing research.
Responsibilities involve co-ordinating the design, statistical analysis and reporting of individual studies, in addition to providing statistical input for publications and presentations. You will be creating statistical text for study concept documents and protocols as well as developing statistical analysis plans as well as statistical reports. Provide quality control checks on tables, figures and listings. Representing the statistics function of a multifunctional project team you will act as an intermediary between the company and CROs, ensuring that statistics-related activities conducted by the project teams and the client are consistent with SOPs, guidelines and standards.
As the nature of the role is specialising in early phase statistics (phase I or IIa) experience within this field is preferable although candidates with strong pre-clinical experience will be considered. Experience in applied modelling and simulation within the pharmaceutical/biotech/CRO industry.
